Lightkeeper's Rest

Lightkeeper's Rest is in Anstruther, on the Fife coast. It's a cottage, down a quiet lane near the harbour. You can see the sea from the front upstairs window.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One has a king size bed with its own shower room, the other has two singles. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, a bit steeper than modern ones.

The living room is upstairs to get the view. The kitchen is downstairs. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included.

You're about two minutes walk from the harbour. There are cafes, pubs, and a very good fish and chip shop. The town has a couple of sandy beaches with rock pools. The Fife Coastal Path runs right through, so you can walk to other villages along the coast.

From spring to autumn, boats go from the harbour to the Isle of May. It's a nature reserve, good for seeing puffins and seals. The Anstruther Golf Course is a nine-hole course just up the road. St Andrews is about a fifteen minute drive away for more shops, the aquarium, or its famous golf courses.

You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's no garden, but the beaches and coastal path are so close it doesn't really matter.
