Crail House

Crail House is in Crail. It's a fishing village in Fife. The house is on a bit of a slope, so you go in on the first floor. That's where the main living area is. It sleeps eight.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The layout is a bit unusual. One of the twin bedrooms leads through to a bunk room. It works for a family, but it's not completely private. The stairs inside are normal.

The main thing is the view. From the living room and one bedroom upstairs, you look out over the village roofs to the sea. It's a good view. There's a balcony up there with a table and chairs. Downstairs, there's a lawned garden as well.

The house has a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. It's got wifi, a washing machine, and parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.

You're a few minutes' walk from the harbour and a sandy beach. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about 300-400 yards away. The village is nice to wander around. It's got the old wynds and alleys.

If you walk, the Fife Coastal Path goes right through. You can walk along to other villages. The coast is good here.

St Andrews is about a 20 minute drive. It's got everything: shops, places to eat, the university, the castle. If you're into golf, it's there, and there are lots of courses nearby. Crail has its own golf links about two miles away.

If you want a day out, Cambo Gardens are close. They're nice for a stroll, especially in spring for the snowdrops. They have a cafe.

That's about it. It's a good base for the East Neuk.
