Chilmello Cottage

This is Chilmello Cottage. It's on the edge of Pittenweem, which is a fishing village in Fife. The garden is enclosed. It's mainly paved, with a couple of benches and a small table. The back gate opens onto a lane.

Inside, it sleeps two people. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's been well looked after and is comfortable. The living room is small but it's got a wood burner, which is nice in the evenings. The kitchen is through the back and has what you need.

You're about a three-minute walk from the harbour. The village has most things: a baker, a small grocer that's also a post office, a couple of pubs, and a fish and chip shop. The fish market happens on the harbour early in the morning if you want to see that. There's a tidal pool down by the shore for swimming, if you don't mind the cold.

Anstruther is the next village along, about five minutes in the car. It's bigger, with more places to eat and the Scottish Fisheries Museum. St Andrews is about half an hour away. You've got the university, the cathedral ruins, and the golf, obviously.

For walking, the Fife Coastal Path runs right past the door. You can walk to Anstruther along it, or the other way towards St Monans. It's flat there by the water.

What's here: the wood burner, WiFi, a washing machine, bedding and towels are provided. You can bring one dog. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
