Maisie Cottage

Maisie Cottage is in St Monans, right in the village. It's a terraced house, so attached to others, but you get your own garden and a sea view from the back.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, one is a twin and the other two are doubles. The stairs are a standard staircase, not those really steep cottage ones. Downstairs, there's one family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower cubicle.

The house has a 3 Star rating. It means it's clean, comfortable and has what you need, but it's not a luxury finish. You'll get WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair and stairgate if you're bringing little ones.

The garden has a decked area. There are a couple of sheds for storing bikes if you've brought them. You can bring two dogs.

It's wheelchair accessible to get in the front door, but the bathroom is on the ground floor and the bedrooms are up a flight of stairs, so it's not fully accessible for anyone who can't manage stairs.

In the village, there's a pub that does food. For more options, Anstruther is about eight minutes' drive east. They've got good shops, a famous fish and chip shop, and a brilliant bakery. Pittenweem is five minutes west and has art galleries and summer fairs.

You're right on the Fife Coastal Path here. The walk to Elie is lovely. For beaches, you've got St Monans own bit of coast, or you can drive to larger beaches like Elie or the one at Anstruther.

St Andrews is about 25 minutes away by car for the golf, the university, and the bigger town shops. Further afield, you can get to Edinburgh in around an hour and a half, depending on traffic.
