It's called Fidra. It's in Anstruther, on the Fife coast. It's a little fisherman's cottage, semi-detached on the ground floor. Quiet spot, short walk to the water.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. There's a sort of secret porthole in the wall that looks out towards the Isle of May, which is a nice touch.
The place has everything you need: a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi. Parking is right outside. You can bring one dog. There isn't a garden, but there's a bit of space out in the shared wynd where you can sit with a drink.
You're about a three minute walk from the high street. There's a shop, a couple of pubs, and restaurants. The seafood is local, obviously. The harbour and the Fisheries Museum are just down the hill.
From Anstruther you can get boat trips over to the Isle of May to see the puffins and seals. The Fife Coastal Path runs right through the town, so you can walk to Crail one way or towards St Monans and Elie the other.
St Andrews is about nine miles away for the golf, the university, and the bigger shops. All the East Neuk villages are within a twenty minute drive. Useful links for planning: National Trust for Scotland Isle of May and Fife Coastal Path.
