Nautilus Cottage

Nautilus Cottage is in Cellardyke, just next to Anstruther in Fife. It's a terraced fisherman's cottage right on the harbourside. The views are good, straight out over the harbour and the Firth of Forth.

It sleeps seven people in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated so it's comfortable and modern inside, but it's still a cottage. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.

You're right on the harbour. There's a small sandy beach about ten yards away. A restaurant is just next door, and a pub is about a hundred yards up the road. There's a local shop about 800 yards away in Anstruther.

Anstruther itself is a short walk along the coast. It's a proper working harbour with shops and places to eat. The fish and chips there are well known. You can get boat trips from the harbour out to the Isle of May to see the puffins and seals.

The Fife Coastal Path goes right past the cottage. You can walk to other fishing villages like Crail one way, or towards St Andrews the other. St Andrews is about nine miles away if you want the golf or the university town.

For facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and bedding and towels are included. There's bicycle storage and stands for golf bags. No pets, sorry.
