Seaforth View

Seaforth View is a cottage in St Monans, a fishing village on the coast in Fife. It's a detached house, not joined to another. You get a pretty good view of the sea from the upstairs living room, out over the roofs.

The house sleeps six people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. It has a 4 Star rating. The stairs are standard.

You're about five minutes' walk from the harbour. There's a good local seafood restaurant and a well-known cafe right there. The Fife Coastal Path goes through the village, so you can start a walk from the door. St Monans itself is small and quiet, with old fishermen's houses.

For beaches, you've got Elie and Shell Bay about ten minutes' drive away. Crail is a bit further. If you want to go to St Andrews, it's about half an hour. It's obviously famous for golf, but the beach and the botanic garden are nice too. Falkland Palace, inland, is about a 25 minute drive and is worth a visit.

Inside, it's open plan downstairs with the kitchen and dining area. It's a well-built house, so it feels solid. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have children.

What's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets are allowed. There's parking for two cars on the drive.

Some useful links if you're looking into things to do: Falkland Palace (National Trust for Scotland), and for walking the coast, Fife Coastal Path.
