Number Fifty Six
This is Number Fifty Six in St Monans. It's a semi-detached house on a normal street, just a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour.
It's a three-bedroom place and sleeps five. There's one shower room upstairs. The rating is 4 Star. It was all redone a few years ago so it feels fresh and clean. The stairs are standard, nothing unusual.
The kitchen and living room are open plan. There's a conservatory on the back that looks over the garden, which is fully enclosed. From the garden you can see a bit of the sea. There's a gate at the back that lets you onto a path down to the harbour, though it's on a bit of a slope. There's a summerhouse in the garden too if you want to sit out.
Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds, which can be split into twins if you ask beforehand. The third bedroom has a single bed.
Parking is on the drive. Facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
St Monans itself is a small fishing village. The harbour is lovely. You're right on the Fife Coastal Path here. You can walk to Pittenweem along the coast in about twenty minutes. St Andrews is about a twenty-minute drive north for shops and the golf. For a bigger beach, Elie is about ten minutes south by car.
