The Lodge is a detached bungalow on our farm in Arncroach. It looks out over Gillingshill Reservoir and the woods around Kellie Law. It's quiet here. You get the garden to yourself, with a table and chairs.
It's a five star place, which means it's well-fitted and clean. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. Sleeps four. You can bring two dogs. There's a wood burner in the living area, and the kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Everything is on one level, no stairs.
The track down to the reservoir is right there if you want a walk, but you'll need boots as it's not a proper footpath. The water is good for birdwatching. Kellie Castle and its gardens are about a mile and a half away, good for a stroll. They have a tea room.
Pittenweem is four miles. It's a proper fishing harbour where you can buy fresh fish. Anstruther is the next village along and has the famous fish and chip shop. The Fife Coastal Path runs through here if you like walking by the sea.
St Andrews is about twenty minutes by car. Golf, the university, beaches, and shops. It gets busy in summer.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, wifi, parking. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
