The Lodge is a small detached cottage in the grounds of our main house. We live there sometimes, but most of the time it's just you. It's quiet here, looking out over fields.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is fine. It's clean and has what you need. The bed's comfortable.
There's a small courtyard that's just for you. It gets the sun in the afternoon. Good spot for a coffee or a drink if it's nice out.
You should know the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are steep. They're spiral and a bit narrow. Just take your time on them.
You're in Peat Inn. The famous restaurant is about a three minute walk up the road. We can't speak for the prices, but the food is very good. For a proper supermarket, you'll need to drive to Cupar or St Andrews.
If you like golf, you're in the right place. St Andrews is about seven miles away. The Old Course is there, along with the British Golf Museum. There are plenty of other courses around here too, if you fancy something different.
The coast is close. Places like Elie, Crail and Anstruther are about twenty minutes by car. They're good for a walk and some fish and chips. The Fife Coastal Path starts there if you want a longer hike.
Dundee is about 35 minutes away. The V&A museum on the waterfront is worth a visit. So is the RSS Discovery, which is Captain Scott's ship.
Facilities wise: there's a TV, WiFi, a shower, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
