The Lodge at Lochnagar is a detached little place in Peat Inn. It's in the grounds of the main house, but you've got your own bit. The owners are sometimes there. You get your own enclosed courtyard to sit out in.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean without any fuss. Everything you need is there.
You're right in the countryside here, proper rural views. It's very quiet.
The famous Peat Inn restaurant is a few minutes' walk up the road. It's a Michelin star place, so you'd need to book ahead. There are loads of other good places to eat around here too, especially if you like seafood.
If you're into golf, you're in the right spot. St Andrews is about seven miles away. There are courses everywhere around here, all types.
St Andrews itself is good for a day out, even if you don't play golf. The beaches are huge. There's history, shops, the usual. The Fife Coastal Path goes right along past the pretty fishing villages. Crail, Anstruther, Elie are all worth a drive.
Dundee is about 35 minutes by car. The V&A Museum on the waterfront is worth seeing, and the Discovery Point is there too.
Facilities wise, it's got a TV, WiFi, parking right there. Bedding and towels are included. There's a shower. No pets, sorry.
