Burnside West is a lodge. It's in the grounds of a hotel on the edge of St Andrews. You're separate from the hotel, but you can use some of its things if you want.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
There's a proper kitchen if you want to cook. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Or, you can walk over to the hotel for a meal or a drink. It's up to you.
The front looks out over a field and a small stream. It's quiet. You have your own parking space right outside.
You're about a ten-minute walk from the centre of St Andrews. You can see the university buildings from the road. The Old Course is about a fifteen-minute walk. There are other famous courses like the New Course and the Jubilee Course just as close. If you're not a golfer, the town has the castle ruins, the cathedral, and the beach. The West Sands beach is long and good for a walk.
For a day out, you can drive to the East Neuk fishing villages like Crail or Anstruther in under half an hour. Falkland Palace is about a forty-minute drive inland.
You can bring up to two dogs. Bikes and electric bikes are available to use, which is useful for getting into town or along the coast.
If you need more space, you can book this place together with the lodge next door and another cottage nearby. That works for bigger groups.
