St Andrews Hideaway is a one bedroom flat attached to the side of our house. We're in a quiet street about a mile from the town centre and the beach. It's for two people. The main thing is it's handy for the golf.
The Old Course is just over a mile away. If you're not a golfer, there's a beach path that goes all along the coast. The beach itself is sandy and big. The town has the usual things: shops, places to eat, a couple of museums.
The flat has its own little enclosed patio out the back with a table and a barbecue. You get one parking space on our drive. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and the towels and bedding are included.
We can take one well-behaved dog. There's space to store bikes if you bring them.
If you want to go further out, the Fife Coastal Path is good for a long walk. You can drive to places like Falkland Palace or the seaside at Crail. For a day trip, Edinburgh is about an hour and a half by car. Perth is a bit closer.
