Kinness Lodge is in St Andrews, Fife. It's in the grounds of a hotel, but it's detached so it's your own place. The hotel is the one with the four star rating, not the lodge. The lodge itself is modern and roomy.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom, which is useful. There's a big lounge with doors out to a balcony. It looks over the hotel gardens and you can hear the burn running past. It's a nice sound.
You can use the hotel if you want. They've got a restaurant and a bar. It's about a two minute walk from the lodge. Or you can just stay in and cook. The kitchen has everything you'd need.
Location is the main thing here. You're about a ten minute walk from the middle of St Andrews. You can easily walk to the Old Course. The university buildings and the beach are close by too. For a longer coastal walk, the Fife Coastal Path is right there. You can find more about that on the Fife Coastal Path website.
Within half an hour you can drive to places like Dundee, or further along the coast to places like Crail and Anstruther. There are lots of other golf courses around if that's your thing.
For facilities, it has parking, wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
If you're coming with a bigger group, you can book this one together with the two cottages next door.
