Helens Lea
Helens Lea is in St Andrews, just off one of the main streets. It's a ground floor apartment in an Edwardian terrace. You're two or three minutes' walk from the centre, so you don't really need the car once you're here.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's all on one level, which is handy.
The owner sometimes offers to meet guests at the station or airport, and can point out a few local spots if you want.
The Old Course is about a ten minute walk from the door. There are a lot of other courses nearby if that's your thing. The shops, pubs, and restaurants start about 100 yards away. The beach is sandy and it's a short walk down.
For a day out, the fishing villages along the East Neuk, like Anstruther or Crail, are worth a drive. You're also within half an hour of places like Dundee or Falkland Palace.
It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and secure bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
