South House is in Lathones, which is a small village in Fife. It's semi-detached. The property used to be the village church, built in 1887. It's been converted now.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two bedrooms and a shower room are on the ground floor, which is handy. Upstairs is just the living room and the third bedroom. The stairs are a typical cottage spiral, made from stone. They're quite narrow and winding.
There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has an Aga, so it's always warm in there. The kitchen table is big. The garden is enclosed and looks out over fields.
The village inn is about a minute's walk away. They do food. The nearest shop is a five mile drive. St Andrews is about ten minutes by car. That's where you'll find supermarkets, the beach, and the university.
If you like golf, you know the deal with St Andrews. The Fife Coastal Path is good for walks. Anstruther is along the coast and you can get boat trips to the Isle of May in the summer to see puffins. For a day out, Edinburgh is about an hour's drive. You can also get a train from Leuchars.
The property has a 4 Star rating. It's wheelchair accessible to the ground floor. Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them.
