Well Cottage Ceres

Well Cottage is in Ceres, Fife. It's a small, terraced cottage. It's from around 1780, and was built for weavers.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on the ground floor which is handy.

The stairs are steep. I should say that. They're the original cottage stairs.

There's a small enclosed garden out the back. You can sit there if the weather's alright.

In the village, there's a pub, a hotel that does food, a couple of tea rooms and a shop. The Fife Folk Museum is right across the road. The village green is there too.

You can walk or cycle straight from the door. The area's good for that.

St Andrews is about seven miles east. That's where the famous golf is, but there are other courses around here too. The coast with its fishing villages and beaches, what we call the East Neuk, is a short drive away.

If you're driving further, Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth are all within an hour.

For facilities: there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, wifi, and parking. There's also an electric vehicle charger. Towels and bedding are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
