It’s called Buchanan Park. It's a bungalow in Ceres, which is a quiet village inland in Fife. You turn off the main street into a normal residential area, and it's there. You've got your own space.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom is a big wet room, which works well if you have mobility issues or just don't like climbing into a bath. There's a ramp at the front and back, and the doors are wide.
Inside, it's straightforward. The living room is bright. The kitchen is a decent size if you're cooking. There's a conservatory on the back, which is a nice spot to sit when the sun's out, even if it's a bit chilly outside.
The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for dogs or kids. You can park right outside.
Ceres itself has everything you need close by. There's a shop, a dog-friendly pub, a café, and a hotel with a restaurant, all within a few minutes' walk. The village is known for its Highland Games at the end of June, if your timing lines up.
For walks, you can head up through Craighall Den or follow the old Pilgrim’s Way. If you want a beach, you drive about 25 minutes to Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve. The beach there is long and sandy, and you often see seals. There are hides at Morton Lochs for watching birds and red squirrels.
St Andrews is about a 20-minute drive. That's where the famous beaches and golf courses are, and the town has all the shops and places to eat. For a bigger day out, Craigtoun Country Park is good for families, and the Hill of Tarvit mansion is interesting if you like history. Dundee and Perth are easy to get to. Edinburgh is about an hour's drive if you fancy it.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and highchair. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a kids' play area just down the road.
