Aultnagar Upper Largo

Aultnagar is our cottage in Upper Largo. It's a two-bedroom place for four people. Recently done up, so it's clean and works well. You get a parking space.

The back garden is fully enclosed. It's a good spot, looks out towards Largo Law. The path to walk up the Law is right there at the end of the road. It's a steep climb, but the view from the top is worth it on a clear day.

There's one bathroom with a shower. Stairs are fairly typical for a cottage.

The village is quiet. The church is nice. There's a restaurant a few minutes walk away, and a pub about the same distance. For a shop, you'd drive to Lower Largo.

The beach is about a twenty minute walk down the hill. That's where you get onto the Fife Coastal Path. Lower Largo is also where Alexander Selkirk, the real Robinson Crusoe, was from.

St Andrews is about a twenty minute drive. For golf, or the university, or just to see the place. Further along the coast, the East Neuk villages like Elie and Crail are good for a wander. If you like history, Falkland Palace is about half an hour away. The so-called Secret Bunker is near St Andrews too, if that's your thing.

Facilities: it's got a wood burning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher. WiFi. TV. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair if needed. We allow two dogs.
