Cardy Cottage Lower Largo

Cardy Cottage is in Lower Largo in Fife. It's right by the beach, literally across the road from it. The Fife Coastal Path goes past the door.

It's a detached cottage, sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. It's an old place, built in 1885, so it's got character. The ceilings are a bit lower in the back bedroom, because of the roof slope. You get used to it.

The village shop and a couple of pubs are about five minutes walk away. The Crusoe is the closest, it does food. The history here is all about Alexander Selkirk, the real Robinson Crusoe. His statue is just down the road from the cottage.

For beaches, you've got Largo Bay right there. Good for rock pools. The other East Neuk fishing villages like Anstruther and Crail are a short drive away, maybe twenty minutes. Anstruther has the fish and chips and the Scottish Fisheries Museum.

St Andrews is about half an hour's drive. That's for the golf, the university, and the West Sands beach. Edinburgh is an hour if you fancy a day in the city.

In terms of stuff, it's got a woodburning stove, WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and parking for one car on the gravel at the front. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We accept one well-behaved dog.
