Cardy Cottage

Cardy Cottage is right on the beach in Lower Largo. It's detached, which is good if you don't want to worry about noise. It's an old place, people often notice the thick walls as soon as they go in.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are a bit cottagey, so they're steep.

There's a woodburning stove, which is great to have going if it's chilly. Parking is on site, which is handy. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

You're a few minutes' walk from a shop and a pub that does food. The Fife Coastal Path is basically on the doorstep. You can walk for miles along the coast from here.

If you drive, St Andrews is about half an hour away. That's got the university, the famous old course, and the West Sands beach. The villages along the coast like Anstruther and Crail are good for a wander and some fish and chips. Edinburgh is an hour's drive if you fancy a day in the city.
