The Hideaway is our place in Anstruther. It's up on a hill, so you look out over the rooftops towards the Firth of Forth. You can see the Isle of May from the back terrace.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, but just the one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are steep, I should say. You come in at the back, on the upper floor.
Down at the lower ground floor there's the kitchen and doors out to a sunny courtyard. It's a good spot for a drink. The living room is upstairs where the view is.
You're about five minutes' walk from the harbour. There's a good fish and chip shop there, and a lot of other places to eat. The beach is sandy and just down the hill.
St Andrews is about twenty minutes by car if you want the shops or a round of golf. The Fife Coastal Path runs right through the town if you fancy a walk. You can head towards Crail one way or the other way towards Pittenweem.
You can bring one dog. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We leave a cot and highchair there too.
