St Andrews is a cottage right on the harbour in Pittenweem. It's one of the old fishermen's cottages. You look straight out over the water to the Bass Rock.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's been done up to a high standard. It's comfortable.
The main living area is upstairs to get the view. You can sit and watch the boats come and go. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
Out the back is a small enclosed courtyard. It gets the sun in the afternoon. The old wash house is still there, useful for cleaning off wellies or golf clubs.
You are right in the middle of things. The local pub is about 50 yards away. There's a fish and chip shop, a few restaurants, and a good bakery all just outside the door. You can buy fish straight from the market in the morning.
For walks, the Fife Coastal Path goes right through the village. You can walk along to other villages like Anstruther or Elie. The beach is a couple of minutes' walk.
If you're here for golf, St Andrews is about ten miles away. There are plenty of other courses closer than that too.
For a day out, you can get boat trips from Anstruther to the Isle of May to see the seabirds. Edinburgh is under an hour and a half by car.
Facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage. No pets.
