Kilmorry Cottage is a delightful apartment in the quaint market town of Brampton. Sitting just on the fringes of town, it is only a short stroll into the town centre with its many lovely little shops, cafés and restaurants. Set over three floors, the living room is particularly attractive with its “wall of windows” overlooking the open green to the front. Also on the first floor is the cosy kitchen/dining area with a door opening onto a covered verandah to the rear, and a family bathroom. On the ground floor is a double bedroom, shower room and utility room and on the second floor a lovely bedroom with super kingsize bed.
Set in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country, Kilmorry Cottage is ideal as a base for exploring the area. For the more energetic, a walk to the 12th century Lanercost Priory is a must. Wander round the priory and parts of Hadrian’s Wall, then enjoy a refreshing afternoon tea in the tea rooms. Your dog is welcome too!
Talkin Tarn Country Park, just 2 miles from Brampton, with its 65-acre lake, set amid 120 acres of farmland and woodland is another lovely day out be it by foot or car. The Tarn is an ideal place for recreation or a quiet stroll through the mature woodlands. Take a drive out in the car and within 20 minutes you’ll be in the beautiful border city of Carlisle, with its array of high street shopping. Within 30 minutes you could be over the border into Scotland or in the Lake District National Park. There’s so much choice. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
