Westwood Barn
Westwood Barn is in Brough Sowerby. It's a converted barn on a working farm. The main farmhouse is nearby, so you'll see the farm vehicles coming and going.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
There's a proper garden and a patio area. Plenty of parking. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
You're on the edge of the Eden Valley, about two miles from Kirkby Stephen and four from Appleby-in-Westmorland. Both are small market towns with pubs and shops. There's a pub about a mile and a half away. The nearest shop is two miles.
The Lakes are about a 40 minute drive. But you don't have to go that far. The Pennines and the North Pennines AONB are right here. Good walking straight from the door. The Settle-Carlisle railway line runs nearby if you like trains.
If you want a day out, Barnard Castle is about half an hour's drive. High Force waterfall is a similar distance. You're also not far from the coast, places like St Bees.
We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. The farm has livestock, so they need to be kept under control.
