Townend Cottage
Townend Cottage is in Soulby. It's a semi-detached cottage next to our farm. It's a working farm, so you'll see and hear the usual things, like tractors and animals. The garden is enclosed and there's parking right there, with a charger for electric cars.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, more of a home than a showpiece. There's a wood burner in the living room. The farmhouse porch is useful for boots and coats.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. We include bedding and towels. There's a highchair and a cot if you need them, and bike storage. There's WiFi and a TV.
The village is quiet. The nearest shop, pub, and restaurant are in Kirkby Stephen, about two and a half miles away. It's a proper market town with butchers, bakers, and a few places to eat.
For walking, you can start from the door. The Eden Valley is all around. For a bigger day out, the Lake District is about half an hour's drive. Ullswater is that way. The North Pennines are close too, in the other direction.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, but please keep them on a lead outside of it because of the farm animals.
