Swallows Nest
Swallows Nest is a bungalow in Little Musgrave, near Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria. It's on its own, detached, with about four acres of land around it. The main thing is the view from the living room, which looks straight out over a small lake in the garden. There are a few benches dotted around the lake to sit on.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star property, which means it's well-equipped and in good order. Being all on one level, there are no stairs to worry about.
The property is down a quiet country lane. The nearest shop, pub, and restaurant are in Kirkby Stephen, about three miles away. Kirkby Stephen is a proper market town and is good for walkers. The famous Settle to Carlisle railway runs through there, which is a great way to see the scenery without driving.
You're in the Eden Valley here. It's a good spot for getting to different places. The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are both within easy reach for a day out. So is Durham, or Hadrian's Wall if you want to go that way. You can even get up to the Scottish borders in under an hour.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi included. Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
