Christopher's Cottage is in Warcop, Cumbria. It's a detached cottage, just for two people. It's one bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s been done up nicely.
It was fully renovated in 2022. It has underfloor heating downstairs, which works well. The kitchen is new and has everything you'd need. There’s a small sitting room on the ground floor. Upstairs is a big kingsize bedroom with an en-suite toilet. The views from the front are over the garden.
Outside, there’s a garden with seating. There’s also an outdoor cast iron bathtub if you fancy it.
It’s about a mile and a half from Appleby-in-Westmorland. Appleby is a nice market town by the River Eden. There are shops, cafes, and a few places to eat. The castle has events sometimes. The town is on the Settle to Carlisle railway line, so you might see steam trains in the summer.
You’re right on the edge of the North Pennines. Driving up the Hartside Pass gives you good views over to the Lakes and the Eden Valley. Alston is close. The Northern Lakes, like Ullswater, are about half an hour's drive. So are Keswick and Penrith.
Facilities wise: there’s parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There’s a local pub and fishing nearby. There’s also a kids’ play area in the village.
