The Granary

The Granary is one of two flats in a converted farm building next to our place. It's on the first floor. You get a great view of the fields and the Pennines from the living room windows.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, it's modern and clean. Everything’s on one level inside once you're up the stairs.

You're properly in the countryside here. It's quiet. The farm track leads to some good walks right from the door. You'll see our sheep. If you've got a dog, one is welcome, but please keep it on a lead around the livestock.

For shops and a pub, you need to drive. Kirkby Stephen is about ten minutes away. It's a proper market town with butchers, a co-op, and a few places to eat. Appleby is about the same distance the other way, they've got a leisure centre with a pool.

Location-wise, you're right in the middle of things. The Lake District is maybe 25 minutes to the west. The Yorkshire Dales are to the east, and the North Pennines are right there. You can get to Ullswater or the Settle-Carlisle railway line within half an hour easily.

In the flat you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV. There's parking right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. There's a shared bike store if you bring cycles.
