The Hayloft
The Hayloft is a one-bedroom place that sleeps two. It's part of our farm in Bleatarn. It's an apartment, so you have the first floor and a ground floor entrance. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean, not overly fancy.
The view is the main thing. You look straight out at the Pennines. It's very quiet. You'll see sheep, and sometimes our dogs. We're right in the middle of the Eden Valley, so you can get to the Lakes, the Dales, or the North Pennines in about a half hour drive. It's good for walkers.
The nearest pub is three miles away in the village. Kirkby Stephen is five miles one way for shops. Appleby is five miles the other way, and they have a leisure centre.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a kitchen area, a sofa, and a table. The stairs up to the bedroom are a bit steep, just so you know. You get a proper bed up there, not a sofa bed. The bathroom has a shower.
Facilities: It's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right outside. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You're welcome to bring one well-behaved dog. There's a BBQ you can use. The bedding and towels are included.
