Borrowdale Cottage
Borrowdale Cottage is in South Stainmore, Cumbria. It's an old railway worker's cottage, a bungalow. It's just you and the moorland out there. Very quiet.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable. It's got a woodburning stove, which is good for the evenings. The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for a dog. You can bring one.
The location is quite remote. You're on the edge of the North Pennines. The views over the Eden Valley are the main thing. It's all walking from the door, really. For shops, Kirkby Stephen is the nearest proper town, about ten minutes by car. Brough is closer, maybe three miles. It's got a shop, a couple of places to eat, and the castle ruins.
You're right between a few big places. The Lake District is about half an hour's drive west. The Yorkshire Dales are about the same to the south. Barnard Castle is maybe twenty minutes east, into Teesdale.
For facilities, it's got what you'd need. Wi-Fi, TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding is included. There's parking right outside. There's a BBQ too.
