Belah Barn is near South Stainmore. It's detached, at the end of a track, so it's very quiet. The views are all around, over the Eden Valley and the Pennines. You can see for miles.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. They're all downstairs. Two bedrooms have their own ensuite showers, and there's a family bathroom as well. That bit works well if you've got a few people.
The living room and kitchen are upstairs. That's so you get the best of the views. The kitchen table is by the windows. There's a small study nook too, if anyone needs to work.
Outside is a gravelled area with a table and chairs. It's enclosed. You can bring two dogs.
It's a 4 Star place. It's comfortable and well equipped. The WiFi works. There's a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, cot, highchair, stairgate, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there.
You're properly in the countryside here. The nearest shop, pub, or restaurant is about seven miles away in Kirkby Stephen. Plan your shopping.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is on your doorstep, and the Lake District is about a thirty minute drive. Both are obvious for walking. Yorkshire Dales National Park and Lake District National Park sites have walking routes and information.
In under half an hour you can get to Kirkby Stephen itself, or Appleby-in-Westmorland. Further afield, Kendal, Penrith, and the northern bits of the Lakes like Ullswater are within reach for a day out.
