Elm is one of a pair of cottages on our smallholding in Herne Common. We've got a few chickens around and we keep horses in the livery yard next door.
It's a modern place, sleeps two. One bedroom upstairs, bathroom with a shower downstairs. There's an open plan living area with doors out to your own garden. The garden is fenced, so it's fine for a dog. You can see the fields from there.
It's a four star rating, so it's well equipped. You've got a dishwasher, wifi, parking. Things like bedding and towels are included.
The village is quiet. There's a local pub that does food about five minutes walk away. Herne Bay beach is about a ten minute drive.
Canterbury is close, maybe fifteen minutes by car. The cathedral is the main thing there. For planning a visit, Canterbury Cathedral has the opening times and details.
If you want to walk along the coast, Whitstable is about twenty minutes north. Reculver Towers and the Roman fort are a short drive east along the sea wall. English Heritage has the information for Reculver.
