Divers Cottage

Divers Cottage is one of a row of terraced houses not far from the centre of Herne Bay. It was built in the late Victorian era, so around 1895. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-kept and comfortable.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. There's also a sofa bed in the living room if you need it. You can bring one dog.

It's on a corner plot. The Divers Arms pub is right on the other corner, about seventy yards away. It does food. The high street with shops and a few more places to eat is a two-minute walk. The beach and the seafront, with the Clock Tower, is about the same.

The house has a small courtyard garden out the back with a table and a charcoal barbecue. Inside, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. The TV has Netflix and there's Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included.

You don't really need a car. The station is about a fifteen-minute walk. Trains go to London Victoria, or along the coast to Whistable and Margate.

For walking, the Viking Coastal Trail passes through. You can walk to Reculver Towers, which is about four miles along the coast. The Oyster Bay Trail starts in town. For a day out, Whitstable is the next town along for oysters and the harbour. Canterbury is about twenty minutes by car or train.
