Anchor Cottage
Anchor Cottage is in Whitstable. It's a two bedroom place on a terraced street a few minutes from the sea front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. That bathroom is en-suite to the main bedroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. We had it all redone in 2019. Kept the original brick wall in the living room but put in a new kitchen and bathroom.
The stairs are worth mentioning. They're steep and a bit narrow. Fine for most, but you need to watch your step.
You've got a small private garden out the back. There's a table and chairs there, and a barbecue. The garden gets sun in the afternoon.
You're about a five minute walk from the harbour and the beach. The high street with the shops, the pubs and the oyster stalls is the same. It's very handy. You can leave the car.
There's a washing machine, towels and bedding are included, and there's WiFi. We accept one well-behaved dog.
If you want to go further afield, Canterbury is about twenty minutes by car or train. The White Cliffs of Dover are about forty minutes' drive. For walking, the Saxon Shore Way is right here.
