Anchor Cottage
Anchor Cottage is in Whitstable. It's a two-up-two-down on a residential street, less than five minutes' walk from the beach.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom is attached to the main bedroom but you can get to it from the landing as well. We had it renovated a few years ago. The walls are painted brick downstairs and the floors are wood. The kitchen is all new.
The garden is private. There's a patio with a table and chairs. There's a barbecue out there too.
You're right near Tankerton Slopes, which is good for a family walk or some crabbing. The town centre is about a ten minute walk. The main street has lots of pubs and little shops. Whitstable's known for its oysters. You can get them from the huts along the beach.
Canterbury is about eight miles away. You can drive or get the train. The cathedral and the city walls are worth seeing. Canterbury Cathedral has all the visitor information.
For a longer walk, the Whitstable Coastal Walk is good. Or you can go south into the Kent Downs.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
