The Coach House
The Coach House is in Whitstable. It's a new build, finished in 2021, so everything works as it should. It's detached, with its own garden that's quite private, good for a BBQ. We live next door.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which in this case just means it's very well finished and comfortable. Underfloor heating downstairs, decent furniture.
The beach is about a ten minute walk. Whitstable Castle and the Tankerton Slopes are even closer, maybe three minutes on foot. There's a local pub a short walk away.
You can walk into Whitstable itself for the pubs and shops. Canterbury is about twenty minutes by car or you can get the train from Whitstable station, which is a five minute drive away. The station has good links to London if you need that.
If you want to explore, Margate is about half an hour's drive for a different beach. The Roman ruins at Reculver are about twenty minutes away. For ferry crossings to France, you'd drive to Dover.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
