Whit's End House

This is Whit's End House in Whitstable. It's up near the top of the hill, so you do get a decent view across the town and out towards Tankerton. We did it up properly in 2022, so everything's new and it's in good nick.

It sleeps eight in four double bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is about right. It's a comfortable, spacious house.

The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We take one well-behaved pet. There's parking for two cars on the driveway.

Inside, it's all straightforward: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TVs. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.

About a mile's walk down the hill is Whitstable West beach. It's a proper shingle beach with working fishing boats. The Harbour is there too, with places to eat. The Neptune pub is practically on the sand.

Tankerton Slopes and The Street – that long shingle spit – are a short drive or a fair walk along the coast path. Good for a paddle when the tide's out.

Canterbury is about twenty minutes by car if you want a cathedral or some shopping. For wider planning, the Visit Kent site has good information, and the National Trust lists nearby places like Blean Woods.
