Whit's End House is in the middle of Tankerton, which is effectively Whitstable. It's a terraced house, but you wouldn't know from inside. You've got the whole place.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It was all done up a couple of years ago, so it's in good order. It's got a 4 Star rating, which mainly means it's well-equipped.
The main thing is the view. You look out over the rooftops towards the sea. You can see the beach and the slope down pretty clearly.
Whitstable's walking distance, maybe twenty minutes if you're going into the centre. Tankerton Beach is at the bottom of the slope. It's shingle, but safe for swimming. At low tide, the Street appears, which is this strip of sand and rock pools you can walk out on.
There's a pub about three minutes away, and a few more if you head along the front towards Whitstable. The harbour's there, with fish stalls and places to eat. If you want to go out on the water, the sailing barge *Greta* does trips from there sometimes.
For a bigger day out, Canterbury is about twenty minutes by car. It's good for the cathedral and the shops.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car right outside. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
