Shingle Cottage is a terraced house in Whitstable, about a five minute walk from the beach and the high street. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs inside are narrow and a bit steep, just to let you know.
The garden is enclosed. There's a patio area with a table and chairs. Facilities are straightforward: dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
You're really close to everything. The shops, pubs, and restaurants are a couple of minutes' walk away. The harbour is a bit further, maybe ten minutes. It's good to watch the boats come in.
Canterbury is about eight miles inland. The cathedral is the main draw, but the city centre is nice to wander around. You can get boat trips on the river there.
For coastal walks or bike rides, the Crab and Winkle Way is right there. You can follow it towards Herne Bay. Minnis Bay has a sandy beach.
