Shingle Cottage
Shingle Cottage is in Whitstable, Kent. It's a terrace cottage. You can get to the beach and the town centre in a few minutes. It sleeps four people, two bedrooms and one bathroom.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, but it's not a show home. It's got everything you'd need.
The garden is enclosed. It's got a patio bit for sitting out. There's a BBQ you can use. Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are all provided. We've got a cot and a highchair if you're bringing little ones.
You can bring one well-behaved dog.
Whitstable itself is about 200 yards away. Just walk up the road. The town has its own feel, lots of independent shops and places to eat. The harbour's interesting to wander around when the boats come in. The Oyster Festival is in July if that's your thing.
For a longer walk or a cycle, the Crab and Winkle Way goes along the coast towards Herne Bay. The beach at Minnis Bay is good for sand.
Canterbury is about eight miles inland. The cathedral is the main draw there. You can get boat trips on the River Stour.
