The Exchange
The Exchange is a flat on Harbour Street in Whitstable. It's on the first floor above the shops. The building used to be the telephone exchange, hence the name.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, both with their own shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well finished and maintained. The layout is long, like a train carriage. You come in the front door into a hall, then it's bedrooms at one end and the living space at the other.
The living area is open plan: kitchen, dining, sitting area all in one. It's done in a simple, modern way. There are some big chandeliers, which is a bit of a contrast. The kitchen has what you need.
A big practical point: it comes with one private parking space. That's a real plus in Whitstable, especially in summer. You can park up and not worry about the car.
You're right on the high street. The front windows look out over the street to the harbour. It's not quiet, but you're in the middle of everything. The fish market, the pubs, the little shops are all right there. The beach and the working harbour are a two minute walk.
For a longer walk, you can head west along the coast towards Tankerton slopes. If you want to explore further, Canterbury is about fifteen minutes by car or train. The Whitstable Castle and Gardens are worth a look. The National Trust's Ios Estate is nearby for walks.
In terms of what's here: dishwasher, washing machine, TV, wifi. All bedding and towels are included. It's a no pets property.
