Cedars is in Sturry, which is a suburb of Canterbury. It's part of our house, a self-contained annexe facing the garden. We're on a normal residential street.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One double and one with twins. There's one shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but it's not a show home. It's our place.
You're separate from us, with your own front door. The garden patio is yours to use. The living room has a wood burner. It works fine, and we leave you a basket of logs.
The local shop and the pub are a five minute walk. They're both good. The bus stop into Canterbury is even closer, just at the end of the road. The train station is about a ten minute walk. You really don't need the car for going into town. The cathedral is about three miles away.
Canterbury has everything you'd expect. The river boat tours are pleasant. The high street has all the shops and restaurants.
If you do drive, Whitstable is about fifteen minutes away. Good for seafood and the beach. Herne Bay is similar, maybe twenty minutes. The coast in this direction is pebbly. If you want proper sand, you need to go towards Margate or Ramsgate, which is more like forty minutes.
For a day out, Dover Castle is about half an hour's drive. Leeds Castle is about the same. Hever Castle is a bit further, maybe forty minutes. The wildlife parks, Port Lympne and Howletts, are also within half an hour.
It has the basics: WiFi, TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive for one car. We allow one well-behaved dog.
