Hawthorne Cottage is in Elmstone, Kent. It's an old detached cottage, Grade II listed. You can see it's got those Flemish gable ends.
It's on our farm, at the top of a quiet lane. We've got about 21 acres of orchard here. You can walk through them to get to the Saxon Shore Way footpath. It's a rural spot.
The cottage sleeps six. There are three bedrooms. One of them is on the ground floor, along with the bathroom. It's a wet room style with a walk-in shower. We've tried to make it accessible where possible, the doorways are wide.
Honestly, it's old, so there are some steps and level changes in the garden. The bathrooms are modern but the cottage itself has the original features, so the floors can be uneven in places. It's got a 4 Star rating.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Parking is right outside.
There's an electric vehicle charger. A barbecue. Your own garden and patio area.
The nearest shop and pub are about a mile away, in Preston-next-Wingham. They're fine. Canterbury is about a 20-minute drive. For the coast, Whitstable is easy to get to. Sandwich is about 15 minutes away. Dover is under half an hour if you're heading to France.
