The Oast
The Oast is on a working farm just outside Elmstone. It's a detached oast house, but it's been divided into two separate apartments. This one sleeps four.
It's got two double bedrooms. Both have their own bathrooms, one is an ensuite. The main space is open plan. The kitchen is in the round part of the old oast. It's been done up recently, so everything's new and in good order.
Being on a farm, the views are all fields and orchards. It's quiet. You'll see tractors going past sometimes. The garden is yours to use.
Canterbury is about ten minutes away by car. It's good for the cathedral, the shops, and just wandering the old streets. The Canterbury Cathedral website has visiting information.
If you want the coast, Whitstable is about twenty minutes drive. Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate are all within half an hour. They're all different. Whitstable is more about oysters and the harbour, Margate has the Turner Contemporary and Dreamland.
For walks or historical sites, the National Trust and English Heritage have plenty of options nearby, like Walmer Castle or the White Cliffs.
Facilities wise: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking and an electric car charger. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
