The Stables is near Canterbury, in a hamlet called Shatterling. It used to be a stable, but it's been converted properly into a cottage. It's all on one level, which is handy.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star Gold Award, which basically means everything's in good nick and it's kept clean and tidy.
You've got a private patio area off the back. It's south-facing, so you get the sun. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
There's a bus stop about fifty yards up the lane if you want to get the bus into Canterbury. Otherwise, it's a drive to most things. The local pub is about a mile and a half away. They do food.
You're right between Sandwich and Canterbury here. Sandwich town is only five minutes in the car. It's old. Full of medieval buildings. Canterbury is about twenty minutes. For coast, Deal and Walmer are close. They've got the castles there, Walmer Castle and Deal Castle. Dover Castle is about half an hour.
If you like walking, the White Cliffs are a good stretch. For a bigger day out, you can get to Ashford for the Eurostar, or the ferry ports, in under an hour.
It's quiet here. You'll hear birds, not traffic.
