Skyfall is a terraced cottage on the south side of Canterbury. The name is a bit silly, but it was in a James Bond book once, apparently. It means you can drive around the city centre if you need to, which is useful.
It’s a two-bedroom place for four people. One bathroom with a shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s been modernised and is comfortable. It’s clean and works fine.
The front is on the street, but there’s a small back garden that’s just yours. You can park one car on the driveway.
Inside, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher included. The bedding and towels are there for you. The WiFi works.
It’s about a fifteen minute walk into the city centre from here. You can see the Cathedral and the old streets easily. A good website for planning that is the official Canterbury site.
For days out, Howletts and Wingham Wildlife Park are a short drive away. The coast at Whitstable or Herne Bay is about twenty minutes by car. If you want a big castle, Dover is half an hour drive.
There’s a local shop directly across the road for basics. A couple of pubs are within walking distance. The Duck Inn, which gets mentioned because of the Bond link, is a drive away in a village.
