The Manor Coach House

The Manor Coach House is in Shalmsford Street, near Canterbury. It's a detached building in the grounds of a manor house. You get a large enclosed garden, about an acre, to yourselves.

It sleeps six in two bedrooms. Both are kingsize rooms with their own bathrooms. The stairs are a spiral staircase. They're fine, but something to be aware of if you have trouble with steps.

It's an upside-down house. The living area is on the first floor. Out there is a balcony overlooking the garden. The kitchen is up there too.

In the garden, there's a heated swimming pool for guests, a hot tub, a pizza oven, and two barbecues, one gas and one coal. There's also a table tennis table.

Inside, there's a record player with some records, a karaoke machine, and some board games. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot and a highchair. We allow one dog.

The property has a 4 Star rating. It's been done up to a good standard.

You're in the Kent Downs. There are footpaths and cycle routes from the door. Fishing is available at a complex of lakes nearby.

Canterbury is a short drive away for the cathedral and city. Whitstable, for the beach and harbour, is about 20 minutes by car. The coast around there is good for walking.
