Horseshoe Cottage

Horseshoe Cottage is on the lane in Starbotton, about halfway up the Dale. It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom.

The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and recently updated, but it's still an old cottage. The stairs are steep and a bit narrow, which is normal for round here.

There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has what you need for meals in. They've put a single bed in one of the double bedrooms as well, which is handy if you've got a child. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, but mind your head on the beam if you're tall.

Starbotton itself is quiet. There's a pub. For a shop or a cafe, Kettlewell is a five minute drive down the valley. Good walking starts from the door. You can follow the river or go up onto the tops.

Buckden is a bit further up the road. Grassington is about fifteen minutes by car, that's got more shops and places to eat. Bolton Abbey is within half an hour. The whole of the Yorkshire Dales is on the doorstep really.

For facilities: WiFi, a washing machine, and parking are included. Bedding and towels are too. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
