Steelclose Cottage is in Hamsterley Mill, County Durham. It's a detached cottage in its own grounds. The house sits in seven acres of gardens and fields. You get that space to yourselves.
It sleeps six people in two bedrooms. Both rooms have king sized beds. There's a sofa bed in one of the sitting rooms as well. One family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. There's also a downstairs toilet.
The layout is a bit different. There's a main living room, an orangery, another living room, and a separate dining room. The kitchen is open-plan. It's a big space, so you're not all on top of each other. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well kept and has everything you'd need.
The stairs are normal. The garden is enclosed. There's a hot tub on the patio. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger.
You can walk straight from the garden into the countryside. The Derwent Walk and the C2C cycle route are nearby if you want a long walk or a bike ride. Hamsterley Forest is about a twenty minute drive for mountain biking or woodland walks.
Newcastle city centre is about ten miles away for shops and restaurants. The National Trust at Gibside is three miles. Beamish Museum is about fifteen minutes by car. For history, you've got Hadrian's Wall and the Roman forts about an hour's drive north.
The facilities are all listed. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, wifi, wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We take up to two dogs.
