Gracies Cottage is in Causey, County Durham. It's one of a few cottages here, all set back from the road on a private drive. You get your own space.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a king size bed and one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on the ground floor, no stairs.
Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen is compact but it has what you need. There's a sofa, an armchair, and a table for two. It's light.
Outside, there's a shared paved area with a bench. The on-site tea room is open every day for food and drinks. A large woodland picnic area is right next door.
Your booking includes a pass for two to Beamish Museum. It's about a ten minute drive. It's a big open-air museum, you'll need a full day for it.
You can walk down to Causey Arch from here. It's the world's oldest single-arch railway bridge. The Tanfield Railway is also nearby. They run steam trains on one of the oldest railway lines. The owner sometimes offers a ride, you'd need to ask them about that when you book.
There's on-site parking, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
For wider plans, the North Pennines National Landscape is on the doorstep. Durham city centre is about a 15 minute drive.
