The Pockerley Retreat

The Pockerley Retreat is a caravan on Beamish Holiday Park. It's detached and sits back in some woodland on the park. You get your own patio area with it.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One double, one twin. There's also a sofa bed in the lounge if you need it, but it's really meant for four. Two bathrooms, both with showers. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a modern, warm caravan. Double glazed and central heating.

The layout is open plan: kitchen, dining and living area together. There's a TV and WiFi. All bedding and towels are included. Parking is right next to the caravan.

On the park itself, there's the Bobby Shafto pub. It does food. There's a play park for kids. They sometimes have events like bingo.

The main thing here is the location. Beamish Museum is just up the road. You can walk to the entrance from here. It's a full day out. Beamish Museum.

A 20 minute drive gets you into Durham. The cathedral and castle are UNESCO World Heritage. Nice for a walk along the river too.

Within half an hour you can be in Newcastle city centre. Or you can head the other way into the Durham Dales for walking. The North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is about 30 minutes drive. The coast at Seaburn or Roker is also about half an hour.

Facilities list covers it: parking, garden patio, TV, WiFi, bedding included. No pets.

If you're booking for a bigger group, there are other caravans on the same park you can book together.
