The front door opens into a hallway. The shower room is off there. It's tiled, modern, with a walk-in shower. The main space is open plan. Two sofas, a Smart TV, and the kitchen area. A Velux window lets in a good amount of light. The kitchen table extends if you need it. The bedroom is through an archway. It's got a double bed and some open shelving.
Outside, there's a shared paved patio with a bench. If you bring a dog, you're welcome to walk them in the owner's fields next to the property. There's a tea room on site that does food and drinks every day.
The location is good for walks. Causey Arch, which is the world's oldest single-arch railway bridge, is a short walk down the lane. Right next door there's a large woodland picnic area. The Tanfield Railway, which has some of the oldest steam engines, is very close by. Your booking includes a complimentary pass for two to Beamish Museum, which is about a ten minute drive.
Within half an hour you can be in Durham city centre, or out in the North Pennines. Newcastle city centre is about a 25 minute drive.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if needed. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
