Roxy's Cottage is a small bungalow in Causey, County Durham. It's for two people, just one bedroom and one bathroom. The living area is all one open space with a kitchen, a sofa, and a TV. It gets a good amount of light.
You're in the countryside here. There's a paved seating area outside that's shared with a couple of other cottages. Right next to the property there's a big woodland picnic spot, which is handy. A nice tea room on the site is open every day.
The best thing is we give you a free pass for two to Beamish Museum. It's about a ten minute drive. You should go, it's a full day out.
A short walk down the lane gets you to Causey Arch, which is the world's oldest single-arch railway bridge. The Tanfield Railway is nearby too, it's a proper steam railway. I sometimes give guests a ride on it, if the timings work.
Durham city centre is roughly twenty minutes by car. It's a beautiful place to walk around. The coast, like Seaham, is about half an hour away. Newcastle city centre is also about a thirty minute drive.
In terms of what's here: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
