North Lodge Cottage is in Chester-le Street. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one floor. Good if stairs are a problem. You can bring one dog.
It's got two bedrooms. One super king bed, one king bed. Both rooms are a decent size. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, no bath.
The kitchen is new with a breakfast bar. The garden room has a table for eating. Outside, there's a decked area at the back. It's private, gets the sun. You can sit out there.
It's on a quiet street with trees. Parking is right outside.
There's a local pub about five minutes walk away. They do food. Chester-le-Street town centre has shops and a few restaurants. Riverside Park is good for a walk. It's along the river.
The Durham cricket ground is a short walk from the cottage.
You're well placed for getting around. Durham city is about ten minutes by car. Newcastle is about twenty minutes. Beamish Museum is fifteen minutes drive. If you want to go to the coast, it's about half an hour. Northumberland is an hour or so north.
For walks, the Coast to Coast cycle route is nearby. Useful links for planning: Visit County Durham and for trips into Northumberland, Northumberland County Council has good visitor information.
